Question of the Week

How a Start-Up Business in Sydney may transfer or hire employees from overseas

Category: Work Visa

Question asked

Hello,

our company is running tea beverages, plan to expand business to Sydney this year, we've set up a wholly foreign owned subsidiary there and now working with some agents to look for some potential sites to open stores.

For know-how transfer/ local employees training and to oversee daily operation, we will need to send a senior operation manager to base in Sydney in the first 2 years. We would like to understand which visa from the visa list we should apply for and the process and documents required. Hope to get a visa for the manager by May as we plan to launch first store in August.

If you could help on it, please contact with me via email, Ms W.

Answer provided by Migration Agent

Hello W.

Thank you for your question. In order to properly advise you, can you please let me know the country you are based in and the nationality of the manager you plan on sending over.

At this stage it looks like the sc 482 visa would be the best option, however we need to decide on an occupation that best suits him based on his skills and qualifications.

Please let me have the information requested and I will respond accordingly.

Thank you for using ask-an-agent. If you need further services from myself you can always message me using the Ask-An-Agent messenger or chat.
